 Constant Speed Car, B3-1105.00, £7.05
This simple and effective toy provides a visible source of constant speed. It is ideal for introducing the study of motion to your students. Use it with stop watches, light gates, ultrasonic motion sensor or ticker tape.
Two AA cells are required - these are not supplied.
It is possible to change the speed of the car by removing one of the batteries and replacing it with a wire or a piece of dowelling covered in foil.
It is also possible to study circular motion with this car. To do this take a piece of string say 30cm long and tie one end onto the car windscreen. Tie the other end to a key ring that can be slipped over the rod of a retort stand. Your car will then be constrained to moving in a circle.
