Time, Speed Acceleration Mark 2, (TSA) B1-1000.01, £141.50
TSA has been re-designed to give a smart, modern look and feel.
TSA is much, much more than just another Timer. TSA is a microprocessor based, stand alone unit. It is a very versatile instrument capable of measuring
- up to 4 Time Intervals
- 8 Event times
- 4 Speeds
- 2 Accelerations
- A fast timer - 1/100th of a millisecond
- A Gap Timer
A new mode has been added called Acceleration Data. This mode displays two velocities and the time interval been the velocities. Students can use this information to calculate the acceleration. Once the concept has been developed students can then switch to using the Acceleration mode to explore and investigate their world without having to do the calculation every time.
Our new low current Light Bridge connects directly to TSA or ALBA enabling velocities and accelerations to be displayed. There are no internal batteries and no bulbs to replace.
Our Light Gates, Sound Switches , Timing Plate and Reaction Timer plug into the DIN sockets on TSA. This increases its functionality in the classroom. There are two digital inputs - each input can accept DIN plug or 4mm plug. The inputs are TTL compatible.
For users in hot countries with power supply difficulties, TSA can be run from a rechargeable PP3 battery which can be recharged using our solar cell. The current required to drive TSA is 15mA
Because pupils find TSA easy to use it is an ideal instrument for investigations.
The manual has lots of suggestions and tips for using TSA - View a copy of the manual - this may take a few moments to load. A booklet version of the manual is available for those with access to double sided printing - see data sheets in the Teachers Section.
TSA is supplied with a plugtop power supply.
